My family and I stayed for a week the cottage was so clean and beautiful. Very comfortable with a great view! Boat rental was available for a great rate. Things to consider if you have children under 5. The "beach" is all rocks and had some trash on it. Your up on a hill so you don't have much of a flat area to play. The yard is kinda swampy so it stays wet for most of the day. We stayed in cottage 2 the shower is very very small and very hard water pressure. There was no bath tub for dirty kids. Over all it was a great very clean stay.

This resort was everything I hoped it would be for our short family trip and a much needed reset. I grew up going to a couple of small cabin resorts and wanted to share that experience with my wife and children. The Loon's Nest made that possible. The cabin was clean, cozy, comfortable, and well appointed. The hosts, Tom and Colleen, were available and accommodating. The grounds were clean and well manicured. All the guests we encountered were very friendly. This is one of those places that I knew I wanted to come back to before I even left.

Family had a great time at Loons Nest Resort. Tom and Colleen are top notch hosts. Amazing what these 2 people and their small workforce do to keep this resort in such spectacular shape. A nice and quiet place where both the grounds and the cabin we stayed in are well taken care of. Took a little tour of their new cabin-snowy owl- and wow. Beautiful. Tom knows how to build them and Colleen knows how to furnish them. Tom and Colleen respond very quickly if there are any issues. Easy check in and out. Hated to leave. Really laid back and they have all the "toys" to rent if you want to play in/on the water. The beach area is rocky, but water shoes solve that issue. Cell service is sketchy in a lot of areas but that is the U.P. and was alright with us. As a bonus we enjoyed the July 4 activities in nearby Curtis. Family talked about 2024 the second day we were there. Thank you, Tom and Colleen. Stayed here again in July 2024. Just as wonderful as the last time. Wifi now on site. Awesome. Can't go wrong here.

Thank you Tom and Colleen for a wonderful stay! This was our first time at the Loons Nest and it had been 10 years since we had been to Curtis. Our group of fifteen shared three cabins. My family of four was in cabin #1. The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable. It is very close to the dock, and when sitting on the back deck there is a great view of the lake. The backyard was great for bond fires and playing wiffle ball with the kids. My father-in-law rented the pontoon boat for the week, which was great for fishing with our family. Thanks again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Loon's Nest. The setting on the big lake provided sunrise and sunset views. It was peaceful and quiet in late June. The cabin was so clean! Kitchen, all flooring and beds were recently updated and very nice. We can't wait to return!!

Highly recommend the Loon’s Nest! They have a kayak/canoe launch and a dock with a pontoon for rent on a beautiful lake. They’re also centrally located to various UP attractions, but honestly, I didn’t want to leave camp. Would go back again and again

Pleasant and relaxing place to stay. This was our 4th time at Loon's Nest. Tom and Colleen are very gracious hosts. The cabins are very clean and well kept up! Weather was exceptionally cool and rainy, but , we were able to get on the lake a few days and catch some fish!
